My ten month experience at the Big White Fire Department was a life changing one. Not only did I learn how to become a better person, I learned how to become a prepared and confident firefighter. The Work Experience Program granted me the opportunity to attend fire calls and complete important fire hall duties that I would not have otherwise had the chance to complete. With these experiences I feel that I will be able to answer interview questions with confidence because I have been in situations that most new recruits have not. As an aspiring firefighter I feel that the work experience program has been an essential part of my life and will aid me in achieving my lifetime goal of becoming a firefighter.
